The Divine Birth of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj: A Beacon of Grace and Love
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj was born on the auspicious night of Sharad Purnima in the small village of Mangarh. His father’s name was Shri Laalta Prasad Tripathi and his mother’s name was Smt. Bhagwati Devi. (All the devotees lovingly called her Aaji.) At the time of his birth, all the villagers, overjoyed, reached to congratulate Mother Bhagwati. A special fragrance pervaded the entire atmosphere. In the extremely happy and auspicious atmosphere, auspicious songs could be heard from all around. The sweet voice of Chaupais from Ramcharit Manas could be heard- Auspicious building, the one who removes the evil, Dasharatha, Ajir Bihari… The merciful and kind Kaushalya appeared. The mother was delighted and the sage was defeated by the poor man’s wonderful form… Then from somewhere the praise of Lord Rama was heard. Shri Ramchandra, kindly worship my mind, and remove the terrible fear of the world. Tee Navkanjlochan, Kanjmukh Kar Kanj Pada Kanjarunam…. Then some villagers were immersed in devotion while chanting the Hare Ram Mahamantra. Somewhere there was chanting of Jai Siya Ram Jai Jai Siya Ram and in between there was shouting of Jai Shri Raghavendra Sarkar, Jai Siya Ram Sarkar.
Miya was experiencing extraordinary happiness. The fragrance of sandalwood spread all around. Mother felt that the villagers were performing Yagya along with reciting the Ramayana. Looking at the child with love, the mother named him Ramkripalu Tripathi. As per the tradition of the village, almost everyone used to add Ram before the name of their children. Moreover, since Mangarh village was near Avadh, only the deeds of Lord Ram were sung here. In such a devotional atmosphere, the birth of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj informed the villagers about the auspicious and happy future. The Rasik community realized that for the distribution of Brajras, to make the lovers drink the nectar of love, to make even the worldly beings the travellers of the path of love, the grace power of Radharani has descended on earth. When, where and how, they came to know after many years.
